Job summary

O'Neill and Brennan in South Wales is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a landmark £90 million main contract project. You will focus on cost control, value engineering, and achieving profitable delivery on site.

Reporting to Commercial Manager/Director, you will oversee interim valuations, variations, final accounts, risk management, and subcontractor procurement, while providing strong commercial support to the project team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on main contract projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in JCT and NEC contract forms.
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying; MRICS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of commercial aspects of the project.
• Handle interim valuations, final accounts, and variations.
• Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
• Procure and manage Subcontractors; provide commercial support to project team.

• Proficiency in construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying; MRICS desirable
