Job summary

Hoop Recruitment are supporting a major South Wales organisation to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager / Lead Quantity Surveyor on an initial 12-month temporary contract. This senior QS will join a large-scale property and infrastructure team delivering refurbishment, maintenance and capital improvement projects across housing and public buildings.

The role offers leadership over a team with strategic commercial guidance, cost control, budgeting and procurement.

Qualifications

• Significant Quantity Surveying and commercial management experience.
• Strong background within construction, property or infrastructure.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• Excellent contractual and financial management skills.
• Experience overseeing complex project portfolios.
• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS desirable).

Responsibilities

• Leading a team delivering Quantity Surveying and Estimating services.
• Managing commercial performance across multiple construction programmes.
• Budget management, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Overseeing cost control, procurement and contract administration.
