We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Buckingham. Due to the remote location, a full driving license and access to a vehicle are required.

Role Responsibilities

• Independently carry out tasks, sometimes leading a small team of commercial staff.
• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main and sub-contracts.
• Monitor costs against targets and contract progress against schedules.
• Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays, and performance adjustments.
• Prepare and agree interim and final valuations and accounts.
• Manage costs within budget, explaining variances and implementing measures for under/over-spend.
• Provide contractual advice and ensure legal and contract compliance.
• Negotiate and resolve disputes.
• Identify and evaluate potential commercial risks.

About You

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled or seeking membership of a relevant professional body (CICES, RICS, etc.).
• Knowledge of NEC contracts (Options A, B, C).
• Experience with self-delivery works and within a civils contractor environment.
• Understanding of cost and time management.
• Good listening, learning, and mentoring skills.
• Hold a full driving license.
