You will own commissions from feasibility to final account, influence team growth, and pursue director-level progression for the right person. This is a senior, high-impact opportunity.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience in a consultancy cost management or quantity surveying role.
• MRICS (or working towards it) for senior level candidates.
• Track record leading projects and managing client relationships independently.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence to advise clients at a senior level.
• Experience leading and developing people.

Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate Director - Cost Management Consultancy
Birmingham

The opportunity
Our award winning client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director to take a leading role in their Birmingham cost management team. This is a chance to own your projects, shape the direction of a growing regional team, and build long-term client relationships across a diverse portfolio of construction work.

You'll have the autonomy to lead commissions from feasibility through to final account, the influence to shape how the team grows, and a clear path towards director level for the right person.

What you'll be doing

• Leading cost management and quantity surveying services on a range of projects, taking full responsibility for delivery, quality and commercial outcomes.
• Acting as the trusted adviser to clients, building lasting relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat and new work.
• Preparing and presenting cost plans, feasibility studies, procurement advice and cost reports, giving clear, confident recommendations that drive client decisions.
• Overseeing project financial control, spotting risks early and making sure clients and the business always have accurate, up-to-date information.
• Contributing to the regional team's income and growth targets, including bids, fee proposals and business development.
• Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level surveyors, setting the standard for quality and professionalism.
• Helping shape team processes and making sure best practice is applied consistently across projects.

What we're looking for
