With a substantial pipeline of work, long-term contract security and an expanding commercial team, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.

The Opportunity

We are working with an established property services contractor looking to appoint two Project Surveyors to support the delivery of a large-scale social housing maintenance programme across Birmingham. Working within an established commercial team, you will take responsibility for the financial and commercial management of multiple planned maintenance workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and to the required standards.

The programme covers a varied range of works, including:

  • Kitchens and bathrooms
  • Windows and doors
  • Roofing and external refurbishment
  • Planned maintenance and component replacement
  • Larger standalone refurbishment projects

This is a high-volume environment, offering exposure to significant programmes of work, regular client interaction and the opportunity to play an important part in the continued growth of the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the commercial delivery of multiple planned maintenance projects from initial procurement through to final account.
  • Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts and CVRs, ensuring accurate commercial reporting.
  • Procuring and managing subcontractors, including valuations, variations and contract administration.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, operational teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities while maintaining financial control across multiple workstreams.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within social housing or property services.
  • Strong background in planned maintenance, ideally covering kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows, doors or external refurbishment.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and handling high volumes of commercial data and reporting.
  • Good understanding of cost control, valuations, variations, CVRs and subcontractor management.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and manage client expectations.

You'll be joining a growing commercial team on a substantial, long-term programme of work, with genuine opportunities for progression as the operation continues to expand. The role is Birmingham-based, with flexible working on offer.
