Job Description: Managing Quantity Surveyor

Water Contractor – AMP 8

Location: Bedford (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum

We are partnered with an exciting specialist water contractor that has secured long-term work on multiple AMP8 frameworks.

To support these projects, our client is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team and work closely with the Commercial Manager. The role involves managing a team of 2-3 QS’s and helping to establish and implement commercial operations and processes during this busy period.

We are interested in speaking with Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyors with diverse experience.

Key requirements include:

1. Leadership experience: Mentoring and leading Quantity Surveyors, with a passion for leadership.
2. Commercial innovation: A creative thinker involved in setting up and improving commercial operations and processes, open to proposing ideas and solutions.

This role offers excellent security for the next 5 years and significant responsibilities, ideal for someone eager to make an impact in the water industry.

Candidate profile:

• Substantial experience as a Quantity Surveyor in relevant environments such as Water, MEICA, M&E, Nuclear, Civils, etc.
• Experience mentoring or leading QS teams.
• A proactive, innovative attitude with a passion for commercial processes.
• Ability to commute to Bedford at least 2 days per week (3 days from home).
