Job Description: Quantity Surveyor

Location: London

On behalf of my client, I am recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple ongoing projects for a highly successful and renowned Construction Company based in London. Projects up to £125M in value.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your key responsibilities may vary depending on the nature and stage of the project but can include:

  1. Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
  2. Handling valuations, variations, subcontractor measurements, and payments, along with completing job costings monthly for presentation to Directors.
  3. Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
  4. Performing risk, value management, and cost control.
  5. Advising on procurement strategy.
  6. Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
  7. Preparing and analyzing costings for tenders.
  8. Allocating work to subcontractors.
  9. Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.

Strong time management and communication skills are essential, as well as computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and handle necessary paperwork. Candidates with 10 years of QS experience will be considered for this role.
