Group Strategic Analytics is part of the Group Chief Operating Office (COO), serving as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help achieve efficiency, control, and transformation goals.
You will join the Debt Strats team within Group Strategic Analytics, responsible for delivering platforms to solve quantitative problems for Investment Banking trading businesses. You will be part of the IRiS Intraday Risk and Profit & Loss (P&L) application team. IRiS is used by over 200 traders globally, providing intraday risk and P&L data for Rates, Credit, and Emerging Markets trading desks. The delivery team comprises quantitative business analysts, Java and C# engineers, platform engineers, and testers, utilizing JIRA for tracking and management.
Server-side development involves Java with Oracle Coherence in a low-latency, high-throughput, multi-threaded, highly distributed system. The platform operates on clusters of Redhat Linux servers, using Oracle Coherence, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Oracle Exadata, Solace, and Java Message Service (JMS).
You will be responsible for developing risk and P&L functionalities in Java, including analysis, design, coding, and support across trade sourcing, market data loading, static data, trade valuation, risk and P&L calculations, real-time aggregation, and performance optimization for Rates, Credit, Emerging Markets, and Equity lines of business.
