Job summary

The Corin Group is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to join the Quality team on nights in Cirencester. You will deputise for the QC Manager, supervise the inspection team, and ensure products and documentation meet stringent quality standards, GMP/ISO13485 compliance, and CAPA timelines.

You will use metrology tools (CMMs, shadowgraphs, micrometers, calipers) to verify conformance, maintain inspection records in Mestec and Sage, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing cells,

Qualifications

• Good standard of education, including Maths and English.
• Previous inspection experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience using inspection and metrology equipment such as CMMs, shadowgraphs, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting and developing others.
• Positive, proactive, and "can-do" approach to quality and continuous improvement.

Senior Quality Inspector – Nights

Location: Cirencester

Hours: Mon-Thur 2200-0545 and Friday 1600- 2050

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Quality Inspector to join our Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.

As Senior Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring products and supporting documentation meet the required standards for acceptance. You will support the Quality Control Manager, supervise the inspection team, monitor departmental KPIs, and help drive quality excellence across the business.

What you’ll do

• Deputise for the QC Manager during periods of absence.
• Inspect semi-finished products, and finished products against agreed specifications.
• Verify product conformance using metrology equipment including CMMs, shadowgraphs, micrometers, and calipers.
• Identify, investigate, and disposition non-conforming products.
• Ensure inspection records and associated documentation comply with Good Documentation Practice (GDocP).
• Record inspection results using systems such as Mestec and Sage.
• Support product review and disposition activities, including rework, split batches, and scrap authorisation.
• Supervise and support the Inspection Team, including training and development activities.
• Monitor and report on departmental KPIs, training matrices, and resource requirements.
• Act as the first point of contact for inspection-related queries and requests.
• Ensure robust communication and handover between shifts.
• Verify inspection equipment is calibrated, fit for purpose, and free from damage prior to use.
• Coordinate calibration activities and ensure equipment is recalled in a timely manner.
• Conduct inspection activities across all business areas, including Goods Inwards, Manufacturing Cells, Clean Room, and Final Inspection.
• Support CAPA activities and ensure compliance with associated timelines and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and company Quality Management System requirements.
