Job summary

The Corin Group is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to join the Quality team on nights in Cirencester. You will deputise for the QC Manager, supervise the inspection team, and ensure products and documentation meet stringent quality standards, GMP/ISO13485 compliance, and CAPA timelines.

You will use metrology tools (CMMs, shadowgraphs, micrometers, calipers) to verify conformance, maintain inspection records in Mestec and Sage, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing cells,

Qualifications

• Good standard of education, including Maths and English.
• Previous inspection experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience using inspection and metrology equipment such as CMMs, shadowgraphs, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting and developing others.
• Positive, proactive, and "can-do" approach to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the QC Manager during periods of absence.
• Inspect semi-finished products and finished products against specifications.
• Verify product conformance using metrology equipment.
• Identify, investigate, and dispose non-conforming products.
• Ensure inspection records comply with Good Documentation Practice (GDocP).
• Record inspection results using Mestec and Sage.
• Support product review and disposition activities, including rework and scrap authorisation.
• Supervise and support the Inspection Team, including training and development.
