Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for our Ground Engineering team in Scotland. You will drive quality management, audits and continuous improvement across projects, supporting delivery teams and external certifications.

The role requires strong QA leadership, ISO 9001 knowledge, and effective stakeholder engagement to ensure assets meet design and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in quality management methodologies and related tools.
• Level 4+ Qualification in Quality or Construction.
• CQI Practitioner member (PCQI) and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to project and work winning teams to implement quality management processes.
• Monitor, analyse and report Quality performance against KPIs.
• Lead audits and support BB and external certification audits.
• Coach delivery teams in using digital quality and governance systems.
• Maintain local quality processes and drive continual improvement.
