Job summary

DP World seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to drive product and process quality through data‑led decisions in Minworth. The role collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and improve FTT rates, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement.

You will lead problem‑solving efforts, perform audits, analyze quality data, and develop QMS improvements across ISO standards, while maintaining documentation and process control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in automotive or manufacturing
  • Strong QA/QC methodologies and continuous improvement principles
  • Auditing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analysing complex data sets to draw actionable insights
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills across all levels
  • Internal/Lead Auditor qualification required
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean certification preferred
  • Hands‑on experience supporting ISO 9001:2015 with exposure to ISO 14001/ISO 45001

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives across the operation, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, PDCA, Shainin/Red X)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements aligned with customer and business expectations
  • Perform internal and layered audits, ensuring compliance with quality management systems and standards
  • Engage with suppliers and customers to resolve product and process quality concerns promptly
  • Provide in‑depth statistical analysis of production and quality data to support scrap reduction and FTT improvements
  • Drive improvements in the quality management system (QMS), including document control, reverse FMEAs, and warranty resolution processes
  • Participate in special projects aligned with operational goals and support the Quality Manager in delivering KPIs
  • Write, review, and maintain processes and work instructions to meet compliance requirements
  • Support the Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001:2015, ideally ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

Job Description DP World are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Minworth. This is a hands‑on role that will drive product and process quality through data‑led decision making and cross‑functional collaboration. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers, the Quality Engineer will lead initiatives to resolve quality issues, improve first‑time‑through (FTT) rates, reduce scrap, and support continuous improvement activities across the business.
