Senior Quality Engineer – Remote UK with quarterly meetups.

Are you a Senior Quality Engineer who is a technical engineer capable of writing automated tests, asking questions, probing, and driving change & efficiency?

Would you like to join a SaaS healthtech company with over 50,000 global users?

Do you seek autonomy, working in a continuous delivery environment within a team that ships changes to production over 100 times per month?

The Tech:

The Package:

£75,000 - £85,000 (stretching to £95,000 for exceptional candidates) + 25 days holiday + an extra day for your birthday, healthcare, 5% contributory pension, and more.

The Projects:

• Your work will directly impact the company's global growth strategy, helping to identify reusable, scalable quality engineering approaches to support expansion into international markets.
• The team focuses on insurance integration, particularly in Australia, aiming to facilitate seamless integration with local insurance providers and support practices in this new market.
• Current efforts include enhancing high unit test coverage and expanding end-to-end testing frameworks to cover more key journeys, especially focusing on the E2E testing area.
• You will assist in integrating with third-party services and connecting their Blazor application with internal systems.

The Challenges:

• Identifying reusable components versus custom solutions to enable international expansion.
• Addressing discrepancies when running the Blazor app locally versus in the main application.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain testing frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance testing efficiency across API, Load/Stress, Integration, Unit, Accessibility, and Security testing.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including frontend, backend engineers, Product Managers, and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Experience:

• Senior Quality Engineer, Test Lead, QA Lead, or SDET with experience in startups, scaleups, or high-growth environments.
• Technically proficient with the ability to independently implement requirements and drive improvements.
• Possess a test lead mindset, understanding that quality encompasses more than just passing tests.
• Experience in requirements gathering, designing test strategies, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across multiple layers.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Confidence in communicating, influencing stakeholders, and driving agendas.
• Ability to enable teams to own quality and strategize testing approaches.

Interview Process:

Two stages conducted remotely via Zoom:

• Introductory chat (1 hour) with the Engineering Manager to discuss your background, the role, and the company.
• Final stage (2 hours) involving pair programming with a pre-built framework to solve challenges, followed by a culture and values interview.

The final stage includes a 1-hour paired programming challenge, assessing your ability to write tests and troubleshoot the framework, and a cultural fit interview.
