AndRecruit is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This hands-on leadership role combines NPI, supplier quality and team development to ensure products meet quality standards across sites.

You will lead the engineering team, coordinate audits and investigations, and drive improvements with suppliers and internal teams. Travel between UK sites and internationally is required.

• Experience coordinating New Product Introduction and product approvals.
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience.

Senior Quality Engineer

Banbury, Oxfordshire | £50,000-£55,000 DOE | Onsite AndRecruit is recruiting for an established engineering business seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead its Product Engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role combining New Product Introduction, supplier quality and team development. You'll coordinate day-to-day engineering priorities, ensure products meet technical and quality requirements, and support improvements across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team, managing workloads and technical priorities.
• Coordinate NPI activities, ensuring product specifications, inspections and approvals are completed effectively.
• Plan and conduct supplier audits, identify improvements and follow corrective actions through to completion.
• Lead root cause investigations into product and supplier quality issues.
• Maintain accurate drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and technical records.
• Monitor performance through KPIs covering defects, approvals and project delivery.
• Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.

About you

• Experience as a Senior Quality Engineer, Product Engineer or Engineering Team Leader within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Previous responsibility for leading, coaching or supervising a technical team.
• Practical experience supporting NPI and product approval activities.
• A sound understanding of ISO 9001, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Supplier audit and supplier quality experience would be advantageous.
• An engineering, manufacturing or quality qualification at degree level or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel between UK sites and internationally for supplier visits and audits.
