Job summary

AndRecruit Group Ltd is recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer for an onsite role in Banbury. The position combines hands-on leadership with New Product Introduction, supplier quality and team development, travelling to UK sites and internationally as required.

The successful candidate will have extensive QA leadership experience in engineering/manufacturing, practical NPI involvement, and a strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and RCA. A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or quality is expected.

Qualifications

• Practical experience supporting NPI and product approvals.
• Sound understanding of ISO 9001, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel UK sites and internationally for supplier visits/audits.
• Engineering/manufacturing/quality degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day engineering priorities, ensuring products meet technical and quality requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team, managing workloads and priorities.
• Coordinate NPI activities, ensuring product specifications, inspections and approvals are completed.
• Plan and conduct supplier audits, identify improvements and close corrective actions.
• Lead root cause investigations into product and supplier quality issues.
• Maintain drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and technical records.
• Monitor KPIs on defects, approvals and project delivery.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve issues.

This full-time Senior Quality Engineer position in Banbury offers a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, working onsite for an established engineering business.

Responsibilities

• You’ll coordinate day-to-day engineering priorities, ensure products meet technical and quality requirements, and support improvements across multiple sites.
• The role Lead, coach and develop the engineering team, managing workloads and technical priorities.
• Coordinate NPI activities, ensuring product specifications, inspections and approvals are completed effectively.
• Plan and conduct supplier audits, identify improvements and follow corrective actions through to completion.
• Lead root cause investigations into product and supplier quality issues.
• Maintain accurate drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and technical records.
• Monitor performance through KPIs covering defects, approvals and project delivery.
• Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.

About you

• Experience as a Senior Quality Engineer, Product Engineer or Engineering Team Leader within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Previous responsibility for leading, coaching or supervising a technical team.
• Practical experience supporting NPI and product approval activities.
• A sound understanding of ISO 9001, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Supplier audit and supplier quality experience would be advantageous.
• An engineering, manufacturing or quality qualification at degree level or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel between UK sites and internationally for supplier visits and audits.
