Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer for a leading manufacturing business in Newquay, Cornwall. The role focuses on driving quality improvements, reducing non-conformances, and supporting the development of the wider quality function.

Based at a busy site, you will lead investigations, analyse quality data, mentor Quality Engineers and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to ensure product quality and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Quality Engineering role.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional improvements.
• Lean or Kaizen experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Newquay. This role will play a key part in driving quality improvements, reducing non-conformances, and supporting the development of the wider quality function.

The Role

• Lead investigations into internal and external non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support and mentor Quality Engineers, helping to develop capability across the team.
• Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve compliance and product quality.
• Support audits and ensure quality standards are maintained across the site.

About You

• Proven experience within a Quality Engineering or Senior Quality Engineering position.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Able to influence stakeholders and lead improvement activities across multiple functions.
• Continuous improvement, Lean, or Kaizen experience would be advantageous.
