Job summary

Hunter Selection in Cardiff is seeking a Quality Improvement Engineer to drive continuous improvement within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

You will lead defect reduction projects, investigate quality issues and customer complaints, analyse data, and work with cross‑functional teams to boost process performance and Cost of Quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (medical devices/pharma/life sciences).
• Strong problem-solving skills with RCA / 5 Why / Fishbone / FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality improvement projects to reduce defects and improve process performance.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances and customer complaints with root-cause analysis.

A leading manufacturer is seeking a Quality Improvement Engineer to support continuous improvement activities within a highly regulated production environment.

The Role

• Drive quality improvement projects to reduce defects and improve process performance.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Analyse quality data and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve quality standards and operational performance.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing Cost of Quality and improving process robustness.

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
• Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, or similar methodologies.
• Confident working with stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver change.
