Job Description
- Lead and mentor the quality engineering team, report KPI's and associated improvement plans designed to ensure compliance with business and customer quality objectives.
- Ownership of the non conformance process - issue resolution and corrective/preventative actions (internal, supplier and customer)
- Develop and implement quality control systems aligned with company objectives.
- Deputise the QM as and when required
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
- Train and guide team members on new quality processes and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve quality-related issues.
- Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Evaluate and improve existing quality control measures.
- Participate in product development projects to ensure quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Quality Engineer should have:
- A qualification in Engineering, or a related field with a strong engineering/manufacturing background.
- Strong background in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance, ideally within an OEM
- In depth knowledge of 8D/3C principles, ability to run and report on investigation outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, knowledge of other QMS, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, FAIR'S
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Proficiency in quality control systems and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
