Job summary

Bright Futures is seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to provide independent oversight across our residential services, with a primary focus on CQC-regulated adult homes and Ofsted-regulated children’s homes. You will lead audits, challenge and support managers, and drive sustainable improvements.

You will build governance, translate insights into action, and ensure services remain inspection-ready, collaborating with operations, clinical, safeguarding and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in adult social care quality/compliance.
• Proven track record of audits and driving service improvements.
• Experience coaching managers and holding services accountable for improvement.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and inspection frameworks.
• Knowledge of Ofsted requirements for children’s homes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead regular quality and compliance audits across our residential services.
• Provide coaching and practical support to managers and leaders.
• Assess services against CQC and Ofsted requirements and organisational standards.
• Identify risks, strengths and improvement opportunities and translate into action plans.
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure improvements are embedded, not just paperwork.
• Conduct announced and unannounced follow-up visits when concerns arise.
• Support services to remain inspection-ready and guide during inspections.
• Identify themes and contribute to quality reporting and governance.
