Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer for a hybrid role at Westlakes Science Park, Cumbria. The successful candidate will provide guidance on delivering an effective assurance programme and act as deputy to the Quality Manager, supporting independent assurance activities and driving quality improvements.

The role requires planning, leadership of quality activities, and collaboration with suppliers to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Essential: Science/Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Desirable: Chartered member of the Quality Institute and registered on appropriate CPD scheme.
• Desirable: Approved Auditor qualification (or demonstrable auditing skills).
• Desirable: Experience in Nuclear or other highly regulated high-hazard industry.
• Desirable: Knowledge of ISO9001 (and ISO17025 where relevant).

Responsibilities

• Provide functional advice, guidance and support on delivery of an effective assurance programme.
• Act as deputy to the Quality Manager, covering delegated duties and serving as point of contact in absence.
• Plan and lead independent assurance activities across the business and advise on quality matters.
• Apply problem-solving tools and techniques to support improvement activity.
• Support professional development of the team and review quality plans.
• Advise on standards relevant to activities and project-specific quality requirements.
• Identify risks and opportunities in processes, products and services.
• Contribute to risk and opportunity processes at org/department/project levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and sustainable supply chain.
• Review quality performance data and implement continual improvement actions.
• Review tender and contract docs for quality requirements and ensure compliance.
