Job summary

Pwconstruct is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Maidstone team, delivering commercial leadership on major residential developments across Kent and East Sussex. You will manage budgets, cost controls and reporting for allocated sites.

The role requires more than five years in quantity surveying with a housing developer, strong numerical ability and the ability to communicate with subcontractors and site teams.

Qualifications

• More than five years’ quantity surveying experience gained with a housing developer.
• Strong numerical ability and commercial judgement.
• Excellent communication with subcontractors and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing budgets, cost controls and financial reporting for allocated developments.
• Preparing cost forecasts and reports, highlighting variances, risks and opportunities.
• Managing subcontractor enquiries, procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Assessing valuations, payments and variations, and agreeing final accounts.
• Monitoring expenditure against budgets and addressing potential cost overruns.
• Working with site teams to assess progress and resolve commercial issues.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records throughout the development lifecycle.
