Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is representing an established contractor recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead a major, multi-phase residential development in East Kent. The role offers total commercial ownership on a £75m+ scheme and clear career progression for the right candidate.

You will manage an onsite team, control procurement, subcontracts, cash flow and final accounts, and act as the commercial lead for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor capable of running substantial schemes independently.
• Background working with a Main Contractor or a Residential Developer on multi-unit residential developments.
• Line-management capability with experience developing junior and mid-level commercial staff.
• Deep understanding of full-life cycle contract administration and procurement.

• Line-manage, mentor, and delegate to an onsite commercial team (QS and AQS).
• Oversee full-life cycle financial management, including procurement, subcontract management, monthly CVRs, cash flow forecasting, and final accounts.

• Act as the primary commercial point of contact for senior leadership and project stakeholders.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity - Kent

An established contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to act as the sole commercial job runner for a major, multi-phase residential scheme in East Kent. Valued at £75m+ with over 400 units, this long-term project offers total commercial ownership and clear career progression.

You will take complete financial control of the development while managing and developing an onsite team (currently a QS and an Assistant QS), with scope to expand the team as future phases progress.
