Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on social housing maintenance and retrofit projects across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. The role covers pre- and post-contract commercial activities, with a focus on CVRs, forecasts and final accounts.

You will manage costs, procurement and reporting, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring HSE compliance. A proactive, results-driven QS with housing sector experience is sought.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or social housing.
• Knowledge of CVRs, cost management, valuations, cash flow forecasting, and final accounts.
• Strong subcontractor procurement and management experience.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and commercial risk management.
• Experience on SHDF-funded programmes.
• Knowledge of decarbonisation or sustainable retrofit projects.
• Experience in planned maintenance housing frameworks.

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading property services contractor delivering social housing maintenance, planned works, and retrofit projects across Birmingham and the wider Midlands region.

Our client are a well known Housing Maintenance Contractor based in the Midlands looking for a Senior QS to play a key role in the commercial delivery of high-profile housing projects, taking responsibility for both pre and post-contract commercial activities while supporting the successful delivery of programmes designed to improve and upgrade residential housing stock.

Description
