Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is recruiting a QHSE Manager to lead the on-site QHSE and Facilities teams at Thorncliffe's national distribution centre.

You will drive health, safety and environmental performance, ensure legal compliance and foster a strong safety-first culture under the General Manager and Regional EHS oversight. This senior, full-time role requires building trusted relationships with GXO central functions and the customer, coordinating policies, audits and continuous improvement, and

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading QHSE in warehouse or automated environments.
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety is essential.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead QSHE culture and safety initiatives across the site and champion GXO philosophy.
• Drive a strong safety culture with ownership of wellbeing across all levels.
• Develop, implement and maintain site safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
• Lead incident reporting and investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions embedded.
• Chair safety committee meetings, manage site action plans and report performance to senior stakeholders.
• Develop and coach the on-site QHSE and Facilities teams, building capability and consistency.
• Monitor, analyse and report safety performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, contractor safety and business continuity planning.
