Job summary

Nelsons is seeking a Quality Control professional to join the Endeavour Supply Chain and Spatone production operations. You will train and support analysts, ensure data integrity, and help maintain cGMP compliance in a fast-paced lab environment.

You will review QC processes, manage calibrations, assist with validations and investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement. A science degree and supervisor experience are essential to drive accurate testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree level or above in a Science subject.
• Experience leading an analytical laboratory team.
• Experience in method development and validation.
• Experience in conducting Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
• Ability to plan and prioritise work to production needs.
• Hands on/Active team member assisting with coaching of peers.
• Ability to use work instructions and specifications for testing of products and raw materials.
• Good GMP & GLP knowledge.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good wet bench chemistry skills.
• Attention to detail and organised approach.
• Experience with HPLC/GC techniques in a regulated lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure training relevant to the position and tasks is completed and kept up to date.
• Maintain documentation in the QMS and adhere to Data Integrity policies.
• Understand and adhere to cGMP environment requirements.
• Assist with reviewing and managing QC processes.
• Ensure timely sampling and testing of all raw materials, packaging components and finished product.
• Oversee daily QC processes including Q-Pulse training and actions.
• Manage Q-Pulse asset module for equipment qualification, validation and calibrations.
• Review QC SOPs/WIs in a timely manner.
• Assist with training of analysts in laboratory methods.
• Approve analyses worksheets performed by QC Analysts.
• Sample and test incoming raw materials, bulk and finished products.
• Review pharmacopeia methods and updates.
• Investigate Out of Specification results and report accordingly.
• Perform analyses or investigations for the company as required.
• Provide written reports on request.
• Assist validation with Method Transfer, Process & Equipment validation projects.
• Ensure data is stored and entered correctly.
• Contribute to investigations of customer complaints as required.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and waste removal.
• Retain and store samples properly.
• Liaise with staff from other departments.
• Participate in other QMS responsibilities.
• Develop objectives and development plans with direct reports.
