Job summary

FuturLab Ltd in Brighton is seeking a Senior QA Tester to own testing of features and content across upcoming games, including PowerWash Simulator. You will create robust test plans, assess quality risks, and provide clear insights to help teams ship polished experiences.

We're FuturLab, the award-winning game studio behind PowerWash Simulator, the Velocity series, Peaky Blinders Mastermind, and many more awesome games.

We're looking for a Senior QA Tester to join our team. If enhancing the quality of a soothing, relaxing game sounds like your thing, then you should keep on reading!

As a Senior QA Tester you'll take ownership of testing features and content, creating robust test plans, assessing quality risks, and providing clear insights that help teams make informed decisions.

You'll work closely with developers and producers to identify issues early, improve QA processes and mentor junior team members. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively and bring a strong understanding of game development and testing best practices.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work autonomously toward objections that have been set
• Review feature or content specifications and create test plans
• Review feature or content health, and report accordingly
• Investigate high-risk bugs and provide risk assessments to help prioritization during bug triage
• Mentor and help develop junior members of the team
• Contribute to and help develop internal QA processes
• 2+ years in games QA, preferably at a game development studio
• Exceptional communication and organisation skills
• Experience with all, or most PC and console gaming platforms
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans
• A solid understanding of the game development process

Desirable

• Strong knowledge of the PowerWash Simulator franchise
• Knowledge of Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo certification requirements
• Experience co-ordinating internal and external QA teams
• At least one title supported from concept to release
