Job summary

FuturLab in Brighton is seeking a Senior QA Tester to own testing of features and content, build robust test plans, and provide clear quality insights to help teams ship better games.

You’ll collaborate with developers and producers, mentor junior team members, and contribute to internal QA processes in a remote-first studio. Typical hours are Mon–Fri 9am–5pm with no crunch.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in games QA, preferably at a game development studio.
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans.
• Strong understanding of the game development process.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of testing features and content, creating robust test plans.
• Assess quality risks and provide insights to help teams make informed decisions.
• Work closely with developers and producers to identify issues early.
• Mentor junior team members and help develop QA processes.
• Investigate high-risk bugs and prioritise during triage.
• Review specifications and report health status of features.

Job description

• As a Senior QA Tester you’ll take ownership of testing features and content, creating robust test plans, assessing quality risks, and providing clear insights that help teams make informed decisions


• You’ll work closely with developers and producers to identify issues early, improve QA processes and mentor junior team members


• This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively and bring a strong understanding of game development and testing best practices


• Work autonomously toward objections that have been set


• Review feature or content specifications and create test plans


• Review feature or content health, and report accordingly


• Investigate high-risk bugs and provide risk assessments to help prioritization during bug triage


• Mentor and help develop junior members of the team


• Contribute to and help develop internal QA processes


• Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (No weekends, No overtime, No Crunch!)
