Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. in the UK is seeking a QA/QC M&E Engineer to join our delivery team on-site.

The role focuses on ensuring quality across electrical and mechanical works, coordinating with construction teams and clients to meet project standards. The ideal candidate has a solid electrical trade background or a third-level engineering qualification, plus 5+ years in a similar role, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inspections, tests and handover

Qualifications

• The candidate has an electrical trade background or a third level qualification in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar QA/QC role is required.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare handover inspection, test documentation and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for electrical and mechanical works across the project lifecycle.
• Review and issue final handover packages to the client.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards during installation and inspection.
• Perform quality inspections and close out defects; oversee testing on the project.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and clients on quality matters.
• Input into weekly progress reporting on quality items.
