Job description

The Opportunity:

The Programme Quality teams drive quality into programme delivery by acting as the Voice of the Customer and influencing the programme management teams, Product Development, Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and Marketing to make customer-driven decisions.

This specific 10-month fixed-term role will focus on managing programme quality within the delivery of Vehicle Programmes on our leading and iconic brands. The goal is to ensure that we achieve the key Quality targets set throughout the development of new vehicle programmes to meet customer expectations.

This role will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the integrity of quality maturation through assessment and validation of Critical to Quality deliverables leading to Gateway approval.
• Developing and driving Whole Life Quality Plans to ensure vehicles meet quality targets and continually reduce Things Gone Wrong (TGW).
• Driving the Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) process from IPB build to post-delivery, including problem resolution and TGW reduction.
• Ensuring all programme deliverables under the programme quality team's responsibility are delivered robustly and on time.
• Managing risks and issues when deliverables are not met, via risk and recovery plans at the gateway.
• Supporting engineering delivery with Evidence-Based Engineering Reviews, Design Review by Failure Mode, AGILE working, and other forums to provide quality input and risk assessment.
• Leading lessons learned events and driving continuous improvement of products and processes to prevent recurrence.

Key skills:

Essential:

• Understanding of programme and project management, including delivery frameworks (e.g., PCDS), deliverables, and gateway governance.
• Ability to present complex issues clearly to various business levels.
• Experience working with customer and competitor insight data to inform product decisions.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance methodology within systems engineering.

• Ability to interface and influence cross-functionally at all levels to deliver customer-focused decisions.
• Results and data-driven with the ability to deliver in demanding environments.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas to stakeholders.
• Resilient, motivated, and flexible, capable of working under pressure and resolving issues.
