Job summary

Sargent-Disc Ltd in Beaconsfield is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to build reliable test automation, improve quality, and explore smarter testing approaches across intranet, web, desktop and mobile solutions used in financial services and media industries.

You will create, maintain and evolve automated frameworks, design testing architectures and expand coverage with Cypress, while executing system, integration and API tests and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software testing with at least 2 years in test automation.
• Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands-on with end-to-end automation tools, ideally Cypress.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of performance, API, UX/UI testing; BDD and TDD.
• Knowledge of JSON and SQL; Agile practices.
• Comfort using AI tools to support testing activities.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and develop robust automation frameworks.
• Design automated testing architecture and expand coverage using Cypress.
• Execute system, integration, regression, functional, API and security tests.
• Use Jira, TestRail and Confluence to manage defects and assets.
• Analyze requirements and translate into test strategies and plans.
• Explore AI-driven testing approaches and AI-assisted generation.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to troubleshoot issues and share knowledge.
