Job summary

Valtech, Bengaluru-based, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to drive experience innovation and automation excellence. The role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, adopting AI-assisted testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

You will design and implement automation for UI, APIs, and mobile, leverage tools like Selenium, Appium and JMeter, and contribute to continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in test automation.
• Strong programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, C#, or Python.
• Develop automated test scripts for UI, APIs, and databases, including SQL queries.
• Experience in automated testing of web services, APIs, and web applications.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
• Ability to create and manage test plans, test strategies, and structured test cases.
• Strong knowledge of testing techniques and BDD with Cucumber.
• Experience testing microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium, and JMeter.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions for pipeline execution and Postman for manual API testing.
• Strong skills in documentation, including test reports, bug reports, and test completion reports.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend suitable test automation tools and technologies based on project requirements and scalability needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks to support efficient and reliable testing.
• Define and implement automation standards, best practices, and reusable solutions across the fraud domain.
• Provide technical guidance and support to automation testers within the team to ensure high-quality automation deliverables.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to understand requirements and communicate the capabilities and design of the test automation framework.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of automation within the development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute mobile application automation using Appium.
• Perform performance testing using Apache JMeter to validate system scalability and reliability.
• Demonstrate AI literacy and leverage modern LLMs and AI tools to build automation assistants or agents.
