Job summary

JPMorganChase in Glasgow is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Data Science Engineering team within Asset & Wealth Management. You will design, develop, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will implement production-grade code, leverage AI-assisted tools, and ensure system stability across the software development lifecycle while collaborating in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Proficiency in Python with strong data engineering capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, PySpark or Snowpark in data workflows.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions and design, develop, test, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Create secure production code and maintain data processing algorithms.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding tools to improve quality, speed and productivity with peer review.
• Apply SDLC tools to increase value from automation and tooling.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize data from large datasets for continuous improvement.
• Identify hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system design.
