Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Global Technology team in Glasgow. You will be part of an agile squad designing, building, and delivering trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

You will develop Python-based services, contribute to architecture artifacts, work with large data, and help improve code quality, resiliency, and automation while collaborating across teams to implement cloud, security, and AI-focused solutions.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in system design and application development.
Proficient in Python coding.
Experience in large corporate environments with modern languages and database querying languages.
Strong understanding of SDLC, AWS, resiliency, and automation.
Familiarity with agile methodologies including CI/CD and security.
Experience with AI and MongoDB.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Python.
Develop, debug, and maintain production code.
Contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications.
Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data from large datasets for continuous improvement.
Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Contribute to engineering communities and promote inclusion.
