Oxford Knight is assisting a leading global HFT fund in hiring a Senior Python/Rust Engineer for its Core Dev team in London. The role combines startup energy with financial market scale, focusing on Python and Rust infrastructure and applications across multiple domains.

You will sit within the core development group, mentor junior engineers, coordinate critical projects and help grow the team. A willingness to learn Rust on the job is welcomed, with a strong emphasis on code quality and

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience mentoring or in tech leadership.
• Proponent of best coding practices, with solid understanding of data architecture & software design.
• Relational or columnar database knowledge.
• Experience with messaging solutions, e.g. Kafka.
