Oxford Knight is seeking a Senior Python Quant Developer in London to help build and optimize live trading and simulation components for a fast‑moving trading pod. The role emphasizes robust Python development, data handling, and integration with execution and order management systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in research and live trading infrastructure within financial institutions, with strengths in Python, SQL, and large datasets, and is prepared to own their work with

Formación

• Masters or PhD in CS or quantitative field
• 5+ years designing and developing research and live trading infrastructure
• Experience with futures and FX execution systems
• Strong Python and SQL skills with database design
• Ability to work independently and in small teams; highest ethical standards
• Tier-2 visa sponsorship available

The firm deploys systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across multiple liquid asset classes, including equities, futures and foreign exchange. You will be building components for both live trading and simulations as part of a trading pod.

Requirements:

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing research and live trading infrastructure at a financial institution, including experience in futures and FX
• Experience handling connections to execution/order management systems
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with SQL, database design, and large datasets
• Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
