Job summary

Huxley is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to design, develop and enhance batch processing and operational systems supporting a major exchange operator. You will build robust Python applications, collaborate with product, business development and sales, and champion clean architecture and rigorous testing.

You will participate in research, evaluate emerging technologies, respond to incidents on a rotating on-call, and work with global teams to drive technical excellence across the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Python development.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Solid understanding of Linux environments.
• Experience with SQL and advanced database querying.
• Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust Python applications that underpins trading operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Business Development and Sales to create new exchange services.
• Champion software craftsmanship with clean architecture and testing.
• Participate in R&D to evaluate emerging technologies.
