Huxley, a trading division of SThree Partnership LLP, seeks a Senior Python Engineer to design, develop and enhance batch processing and operational systems supporting one of the world’s leading exchange operators.

You will design robust Python applications, collaborate across Product and Sales teams, and champion clean, well-tested code while exploring AI-assisted development tools to stay at the forefront of fintech engineering.

Competenze

• Strong commercial experience with Python development.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable and testable code.
• Solid understanding of Linux environments.
• Experience with SQL and advanced database querying techniques.
• Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures and software engineering fundamentals.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent technical background.

Mansioni

• Design and build robust, highly reliable Python applications underpinning trading operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Business Development and Sales teams to create new exchange services and features.
• Champion software craftsmanship through clean architecture, maintainable code and rigorous testing practices.
• Participate in R&D initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies for competitive advantage.
• Support critical production systems as part of a rotating on-call rota, handling incidents and root cause analysis.
