Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Python Developer for an energy trading platform in London. You will design and build scalable backend services in a cloud-native environment, enabling real-time energy trading and dispatch across markets.

You will work in a cross-functional, agile team using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django, with PostgreSQL, Kafka/Pulsar, and AWS, taking end-to-end ownership and mentoring newer engineers. 2-3 days in the London office per week.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend development experience.
• Experience with cloud-native services and modern backend architectures.
• Familiarity with energy trading or real-time data domains is a plus.
