Job summary

Modis International Ltd is seeking a Senior Python Developer in London to design, build and enhance Python applications for a major Financial Services technology environment. The role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in the London office, and initially a 12-month contract at £700/day Inside IR35.

Permanent/FTC options are also available, with opportunities across trading, regulatory technology and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• A couple of years in a finance environment.
• Experience building enterprise-scale applications.
• Financial services/banking experience.
• Comfortable in Agile engineering teams.
• Beneficial exposure to trading, front office tech, regulatory tech or AI tools like Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and enhance Python applications across trading, regulatory and enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development tooling and POC initiatives.
• Take ownership of work and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
