Enso Recruitment is partnering with an established international technology business to hire Senior Python Engineers. You will join a small, autonomous team building data‑intensive platforms, with ownership of production systems and high‑scale data workflows.

You will influence technical direction and contribute to reliability and best practices across the stack. The role focuses on designing and operating production data pipelines, scalable backend services in Python, and advancing cloud

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python experience across data engineering and/or backend development.
• Experience designing and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms or warehouses.
• Hands‑on experience working within AWS or another major cloud environment.
• Experience with containerised applications using Docker and ideally Kubernetes.
• Exposure to workflow orchestration technologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure and observability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and reliability in production environments.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate production‑grade data platforms and services.
• Develop and maintain ETL/data pipelines supporting high‑volume workloads.
• Build scalable backend services and data‑processing applications using Python.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, CI/CD and observability.
• Maintain high standards around reliability, testing and data quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Contribute to technical decision‑making, code reviews and engineering best practice.
• Help shape technical standards and engineering practices as the team develops.
