Enso Recruitment is partnering with an established international technology business to hire Senior Python Engineers. You will join a small, autonomous team building data‑intensive platforms, with ownership of production systems and high‑scale data workflows.

You will influence technical direction and contribute to reliability and best practices across the stack. The role focuses on designing and operating production data pipelines, scalable backend services in Python, and advancing cloud

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python experience across data engineering and/or backend development.
• Experience designing and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms or warehouses.
• Hands‑on experience working within AWS or another major cloud environment.
• Experience with containerised applications using Docker and ideally Kubernetes.
• Exposure to workflow orchestration technologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure and observability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and reliability in production environments.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

As part of this growth, we are supporting the appointment of a number of Senior Python Engineers to join a highly experienced technology team working on complex, data-intensive systems.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take significant ownership within a growing engineering function, working on the platforms and services responsible for processing and managing large volumes of data.

You'll work within a small, high-autonomy engineering environment where you'll have the freedom to influence technical decisions, improve existing systems and help shape how the platform evolves.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We’re looking for an experienced engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of production systems and working with a high degree of autonomy.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Experience designing and operating production data pipelines
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms or warehouses
• Hands‑on experience working within AWS or another major cloud environment
• Experience with containerised applications using Docker and ideally Kubernetes
