Job summary

Tech4 is seeking a Senior Python Developer in the United Kingdom to lead the evolution of our platform and guide technical direction. You will work with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers to turn ideas into robust, scalable software, while championing AI-native development practices and strong software quality.

The role blends hands-on coding with 20–30% technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and shaping architectural decisions to drive reliability, performance, and user experience

Qualifications

• Hands-on senior engineer with a product mindset and the ability to balance business impact with engineering quality.
• Extensive experience building scalable, secure cloud-based systems in modern AI-enabled environments.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and guiding teams through AI-native workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate software across our platform, applying rigorous engineering to AI-augmented work.
• Define guardrails and validation gates for AI-generated code to ensure security, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead features from shaping to production, collaborating with Product and Design and coordinating engineers.
