Job description

We are working with a highly successful, technology-led quantitative hedge fund seeking Senior Python Developers to join its Investor Reporting technology team.

The team is responsible for producing weekly and monthly investor factsheets and risk reports. The existing process is heavily reliant on manual end-user computing, with data gathered from emails and Excel files before reports are manually produced and distributed.

The business is now looking to replace this EUC-based process with a scalable Python solution, building on an existing Python risk dashboard within the organisation.

The Role

This is a hands-on development opportunity where you will help design and build the replacement platform, while having the opportunity to influence the wider technical solution and introduce complementary technologies where appropriate.

You will work on automating:

  • Data gathering and processing from Risk sources
  • Investor reporting and dashboard functionality
  • Quality checks and validation
  • Audit trails, approvals and change tracking
  • Processes currently dependent on manual Excel and email workflows
Essential functions
  • Experience building dashboards and/or reporting solutions
  • Experience automating or replacing End User Computing (EUC) solutions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience, including analysing and understanding existing Excel-based solutions
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand an existing manual process and translate it into an automated solution
Qualifications
  • Experience building dashboards and/or reporting solutions
  • Experience automating or replacing End User Computing (EUC) solutions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience, including analysing and understanding existing Excel-based solutions
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand an existing manual process and translate it into an automated solution
Would be a plus
  • React
  • Java
  • AWS
  • Experience within risk reporting
  • Experience working within investment management, hedge funds or quantitative environments
Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a technology-led, highly successful hedge fund and work on a project that directly replaces a complex, manual business-critical process.

The successful candidate will have significant scope to shape the technical solution, rather than simply implementing a predetermined architecture. With Python already being used for the firm's risk dashboard, there is a strong foundation for developing a modern, scalable reporting platform.

We offer
  • Opportunity to work on bleeding-edge projects
  • Work with a highly motivated and dedicated team
  • Benefits package - medical insurance, sports
