Job summary

Delphix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end features of the IPLM CLI and PiCache. You will collaborate with API server teams and QA to deliver reliable command-line tooling used by hardware design teams.

The role blends product feature work, systems engineering, and AI-assisted development practices, with responsibilities spanning design to productionizing workflows and ensuring robust test coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python.
• Experience designing CLIs with argument parsing, subcommands and JSON output.
• Experience with Perforce and Git version control.
• Strong unit and integration testing practices.
• Comfortable in Linux environments and Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship user-facing pi commands and subcommands across IP, workspace, release, update, and snapshot workflows.
• Extend the CLI data-management layer with Perforce, SVN and Git integrations.
• Diagnose and fix regressions in the CLI's test frameworks and keep branches releasable.
• Prototype and productionize AI-assisted development workflows integrated into daily development.
