Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join a small, high-impact team building a greenfield Context Plane platform that connects data mesh and AI tools.

You will own components end-to-end, from ingestion to governance, and contribute to architecture decisions while mentoring engineers. You will collaborate with data scientists, product teams, and other engineers to deliver scalable, secure backend services, data pipelines, and enterprise-grade AI integrations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated production-grade backend services and data pipelines in Python.
• Strong API design principles and automated testing experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerized services (Docker).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines in Python.
• Develop serving layer including graph and vector retrieval and Model Context Protocol endpoints.
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices across the team.
