Job summary

NHS Northamptonshire Talking Therapies, delivered by Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, seeks a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to supervise PWPs and develop staff. The role includes assessment and triage at the service front door, and delivering group and webinar-based interventions.

The post requires a postgraduate qualification in low intensity psychological interventions and at least 1 year post-qualification experience, with opportunities to contribute to staff

Qualifications

• Postgraduate certificate or diploma in low intensity psychological interventions.
• 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Experience in supervision or staff development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervising, supporting and developing staff who carry out assessments, focusing on wellbeing.
• Providing expert clinical support and guidance to step 2 staff.
• Supporting staff to deliver quality assessment, treatment and support to people using the service.
• Ensuring National Talking Therapies standards are met.
• Contributing to learning and development of PWPs, Assistant Psychologists and MHSPs.
• Delivering step 2 clinical interventions, especially groups and webinars.
• Working in assessment and triage at the front door for distressed clients.
• Using clinical judgement to direct people to appropriate treatment.
