Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee end-to-end purchasing activities in Winchester. The role focuses on supplier relationships, cost control and efficient procurement processes within a growing manufacturing business.

You will manage purchase orders, negotiate terms, monitor supplier performance and collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations and Finance to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchasing or Buying within manufacturing
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems
• Analytical and cost-saving mindset

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing and PO process
• Develop and manage supplier relationships
• Negotiate pricing, terms and supply agreements
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality and delivery
• Analyse pricing, lead times and sourcing options
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier consolidation
• Manage supplier records and contracts
• Resolve purchasing and supply issues
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations and Finance
• Support sourcing decisions with cost and lead-time info
• Improve purchasing processes and reduce supply risk
