Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a successful manufacturing business in Winchester.

You will manage end-to-end purchasing, supplier relations, negotiate prices, monitor performance and drive cost savings across the supply chain. This full-time, site-based role offers a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 DOE, Monday to Friday, with pension and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Buying.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical environment is advantageous.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Experience managing purchase orders and supplier performance.
• Good understanding of ERP or purchasing systems.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Confident communicator capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing and purchase order process.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and supply agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery.
• Analyse pricing, lead times and sourcing options.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier consolidation.
• Manage supplier records, contracts and pricing information.
• Resolve purchasing and supply issues.
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Finance teams.
• Support sourcing decisions and provide accurate cost and lead-time information.
• Improve purchasing processes and reduce supply risk.
