Core3 are delighted to partner with a market-leading and fast-paced business to recruit a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk opportunity in Bristol. £29,000-£31,000 + excellent benefits and hybrid working.

This is the perfect next step for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking to step into a more senior role, take ownership of key processes, and support the development of others. How you'll make an impact

As Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, you'll play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the accounts payable function. Supporting the Finance Manager and mentoring junior team members, you'll ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of financial data and supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

Deputising for the line manager when required to ensure continuity

Mentoring and training junior members of the Purchase Ledger team

Timely and accurate invoice processing into the DMS system

Preparing weekly supplier payments and monthly employee reimbursements

Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies

Investigating and correcting errors using journals and invoice adjustments

Supporting year-end processes and other ad hoc finance tasks

Identifying opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency

Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business

Experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence working with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Proficiency in Excel and general finance systems (DMS experience a bonus)

AAT qualification or progression towards one (desirable)
