Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a motivated Public Transport Planner (Senior to Principal) to join the Integrated Transport Planning team in the UK. You will contribute to vision-led transport planning, develop sustainable bus networks, and engage with local authorities and delivery partners to secure investment.

The role requires strong data analysis, GIS skills, and experience in planning, policy development, and fare design. We offer hybrid working with extensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis skills to extract and interrogate datasets for meaningful insights.
• Experience using GIS mapping software and interpreting analytical outputs.
• Excellent report-writing skills with ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Proven experience managing sizeable projects to agreed scope and budget.

Responsibilities

• Conducting network reviews to ensure services are fit for purpose and align with wider objectives.
• Developing and refining public transport policies.
• Designing fares and ticketing schemes and using data modelling to evaluate impacts.
• Supporting business case development and funding processes for bus franchising and new EV infrastructure.
• Providing specialist input for new public transport networks, including demand forecasting and route testing.
